Hello my dear Steemians!
As I said, I'm starting to write our permaculture diary where I'll try to categorize every topic I'll write about. In this post I'll introduce you to our handmade GreenHouse.
As we wanted to have our Garden with most of the plants grown from our own seeds, we needed some place were the'll have enough Sun Energy and warmth until they are ready to be placed in the Garden so we've made this little (6 m2) GreenHouse for our seedlings.
It had to be quick and efficient job with little amount of money invested.
We succeed! This Greenhouse cost us about 70 USD in total.
For the counstruction we used pallets we already had and got for free.
In this project the permacultural 5th element (comunity) played a key roll because without help of my parents and my love non of this would happen.
This is how it all started. We made 7 main frames for the GreenHouse.
Next thing to do was to make brakets for the shelves on which we will be placing strong metal wire mesh which will be holding our seedlings.
On every frame there are two brakets, one on each side.
Finishing touch for the frames is to smooth the edges so the foil don't get thorn up.
On one frame we made a window and on the other the door.
Now the frames are ready to be put together!
And I bought the foil for our GreenHouse. It's longer lasting UV protected one...
