The Left's longterm goal should be to push for Rank Choice Voting. Our Revolution, Justice Democrats, Brand New Congress, and DSA should band together to focus on getting RCV implemented in states by ballot initiative. Then we can start a new party and be done with the democrats. For now we have to take control of the Democratic Party, but simultaneously push for RCV state by state, since passing a reform at the federal level is nearly impossible.
