A huge sinkhole has opened up in El Salvador that has prompted the evacuation of over 400 people. The sinkhole is the size of a football pitch and is possibly still growing.
Research suggests water erosion is responsible however others speculate that the increase in sinkholes throughout the world may be due to an 'expanding earth' causing fissures, breaks and tears as the planet slowly grows larger and larger.
