Philip Rivers owns most of the passing records in San Diego/Los Angeles Charger history. A member of the 2004 draft class that netted three top quarterbacks, Rivers became the benchmark for the Chargers organization.
Sadly, that relationship is coming to an end. When free agency opens up in March, Rivers will be seeking another team. The Chargers notified the quarterback of its decision to move on. This is not a surprise to Rivers who moved his family to Florida already.
This could be a very good free agent class for quarterbacks. Rumors are that Tom Brady might enter the market moving on from New England.
It will be interesting to see where the merry-go-round ends with these quarterbacks.
