The New York Mets might have hired a nightmare. Little did they know when they names Carlos Beltran as the first latino coach/manager in major NY Sports history, that they might be inheriting a problem of epic proportions.
Beltran is one of the individuals who is in the middle of the sign stealing scandal while he was with the World Series winning Astros in 2017. Brodie Van Wagonen took questions about this at the GMs meeting in Arizona this week.
He is deferring to MLB which he has to do. It is their investigation and they appear to be aiming much higher than Beltran. The food chain they are after is at the upper end.
If baseball comes down with an unfavorable ruling against Beltran, the Mets might be forced to do something.
