I have to create a habit and stick to it, so my phones are always in my pocket or in my bag. They used to always be in my bag before the advent of actifit. At night, the work one goes on the charger downstairs, and my personal one on the night table. Unless I am expecting a call, the sound is turned off and I check them from time to time (convenient to me) through the day. I don't have work email coming to my phone. I used to be the same with the landline - the ringer was switched off and I would check the answering service from time to time. Nowadays, the landline isn't even plugged in.
