Learning to drive is an exciting rite of passage for most teens — and a nerve-racking one for their parents. Especially when you consider the statistics...
This has to be one of the scariest times you will have to live through. Not only do you have to suddenly hope that your teens will drive responsibly when they are out on their own, you also have to worry about the other drivers that are out there. My husband took a course a couple of years ago on learning how to drive when an emergency occurs and as a result, he is constantly thinking ahead and has avoided a number of accidents. This might be a good idea for teens too.
Just yesterday we pulled up to a stop light and in the car beside us, was a teenaged girl with a cigarette in one hand and a cell phone in the other. That leaves no free hand to actually drive?? The roads are definitely a scary place to be these days!!
