Hey everyone, this could quiet possibly have been one of the most exciting days of my life. 2 Months ago this honey business was just a pipe dream and bee-keeping had not crossed my mind. I recently moved to a spectacular plot and there were already 3 neglected hives here. I approached the landlord whom I have known for a few years now and said to him we need to manage those hives, harvest and expand what does he think?
We sat down discussed the logistics/semantics etc and two hours later decided this would be a great plan and LETS DO IT, A RESOUNDING YES, he gave me.
A mere two months later we now have 12 Swarms 14 hives and our first harvest today with over 16 bottles of raw unfiltered 100% pure and incredibly good tasting wholesome honey.
I just had to document it and so I did, starting with a video here and then will blog about it later in the week.
What a defining exciting moment in my life.
Taking my first spoonful of this amazing honey made all the stings worthwhile of which last night alone I received about anything between 6 - 10 stings, thank goodness I am not allergic!
Be sure to stay tuned for more of my epic bee-keeping adventures!
Cheer$;)
