Yesterday, I had the honor of attending 's discord chat group. Click here to access chat. (BTW, if you are new to Steemit, I encourage you to check out his group. We are helping others learn how to use and navigate Steemit). During my talk, I got a lot of interest about yoga and acroyoga. So, I thought I would start by teach you all headstands.
In acroyoga, as a flyer you are always upside down, so getting use to being inverted will help your acro game. Headstands are also a fun pose, and many people like to teach this in yoga class.
You can practice getting into a headstand with the assistance of a partner. This helps keep you safe, and may give you extra confidence to go upside down.
Doing headstands, takes a lot of core strength and pressing in the arms. Here I am on my way up into a headstand.
I encourage you to practice headstands before working on handstands. Handstands are much tougher to achieve, but like anything with life, with a lot of practice YOU CAN DO IT!
