Today is my One Year Anniversary on Steemit and it is kind of a bittersweet day. When I first started on the platform, I pretty much decided to give it a year and to evaluate at that time.
Well, the time is here and I wished that I could sound a little bit more upbeat about this day.
Pretty much from the beginning, I have posted on a daily basis. I ran across as one of the first users I followed and saw how his consistency had paid off for him. So, I modeled myself after him a bit - trying to post 3 to 4 times a day and interact a lot with other users.
As of now, according to Steemworld.org I have made 1025 posts and 16.563 comments. That is an average of 2.8 posts per day and 45.4 comments. I fell a bit short on the 4 posts per day, but if I count all the Freewrite House posts I have written, I am pretty close.
With all that writing and engagement I earned a whopping 1146 SP. That comes to 3.13 per day and I don't even want to know what that would make per hour. even if Steem gets to $ 10 in the near future - not very good. As it stands right now, not good.
I have more money in my wallet - that is mostly due to winning the epic Papa Pepper Selfie Challenge at a time when SBD was $ 10+. I powered up all my winnings.
On the positive side, I have learned a lot about formatting, blocking and even a little about the world of cryptocurrency.
The Best - the very best on Steemit are the people - the nice ones. But even many of the friends I made along the way have drifted off - often away from Steemit or deeply into projects of their own. At the same time, some exciting projects might develop. We shall see.
At this point, I don't know what my next year on Steemit will look like. I am pretty sure I still will be here, but I am equally sure that I won't be able to justify spending so much time on the platform.
Well, come back next year - same time, same place - and we will know a lot more.
