Join me on a trip to Fen Drayton on the hunt for a very rare bird. The reed warbler. I had no clue that this was going to be so exciting until I bumped into another chap who was there to try and spot this elusive bird.

Birdwatchers or 'twitchers' as they are commonly known are an interesting species of the genus homo and can be found in many parts of the world. Is it a lifestyle choice or just a choice? I think probably the latter.
Getting back to the reed warbler. I spent about 5 hours sitting and watching but saw not a single one but I think I recorded it's song at 4 minutes into the video.
It was a brilliant day.
I met some very interesting people and had some very interesting chats about all manner of things including some about birds.
I can see the attraction of bird-watching as you have a great excuse to visit some sites of outstanding natural beauty and all you have to do is just sit and watch as the birds come to you. If you are lucky.
I can also see how this could become a bit of a collecting obsession. Rushing around to see and collect (by photographing) as many of the native birds as possible.
All in all it is a lovely way to spend a beautiful sunny day. Hope you enjoyed the relaxing video.
