In this video we will look at the elements of each league in more detail. First we will look at the curation league. A league designed to find those most active in ensuring they earn the most they can with their SP on curation rewards.
The aim of the analysis is to calculate how much per 1000 SP the precipitant earns. Many people have less and some have more than 1000 SP but by using a common value, it becomes easy to compare accounts.
Top 3 each week in the curation league will share in the prize pot.
The prize pot will be the total SBD paid to me on the previous weeks league post. If the SBD value on the post grows each week, we will increase the number of winners.
After this we will talk about the engagement league. This league is of far more importance as it rewards all efforts made on the blockchain.
Points are awarded for the number of posts you make, the number of comments you leave, the number of replies you leave to comments (its all about interaction and engagement here) Character count is also scored, the longer the post or comment the more points.
Other activities that get you points in the engagement league are the number of votes you make, the number of distinct authors ( the more authors the more points) and the number of witnesses you have votes placed for.
Finally there is a deduction for self voting.
As my league differs slightly to Asher's I will also be including points for those that vote on posts made within certain tags.
As you can see this league really encourages activity and engagement on the steemit blockchain and the top 3 each week will receive delegation of 100 SP for 3 weeks.
