Hello friends, for some time I want to acquire a dog, unfortunately, unless my husband does change his mind, I can not have because of a he does not like to have an animal in the house, he was obliged to accept my cat but it's because I already had one when we knew each other and two he's afraid of dogs because he was bitten on the thigh by a German shepherd when he was a child. Well here it is a chihuahua longhaired, indeed, there are also shorthaired but I find them pretty month, so it's rather the first reason he will choose to say no. Finally, I can always dream that he changes his mind, o) As long as there is life there is hope, o)
So, I looked at this dog that I do not know really, except through Paris Hilton who has some. I prefer cute little dogs that smell good and do not take too much space, unlike Hooch in the movie with Tom Hanks who drools everywhere and destroys his house.
I started to research this beautiful little dog mat, I may also research other small dogs later to compare and find the ideal companion that would be for me, a small dog too cute, who does not bark, who is kind to children, who supports other animals and who is generally healthy.
He is from Mexico, from Chihuahua State, hence his name. At first it was wild and then domesticated by the natives. Towards the end of the 19th century, he arrived in North America and then in Europe.

It is certainly thanks to them that the sale of dog clothes has exploded in recent years. This little dog can live between 15 and 20 years, which is not nothing, so we must think carefully before acquiring one. It is about 20 cm tall and weighs between 500 grams and 3.5 kilograms.
As I said above it can have short or long hairs, if they are long, they can be slightly wavy. His hair can be of all colors, black, beige, brown, red, white, ... If they are long, it must of course brush and give him a bath once a month, if they are running, a gloves wet toilet is enough to wash it. We must also maintain his nails, to do this, it is better to go to the groomer not to hurt him.
Although he is small and like all animals, he still needs space so he will be happier in a house with a garden than in an apartment with balcony.
On the other hand, me who wants a dog that does not abbreviate, the chihuahua is not the ideal companion for me because it is a warning dog and abboie also on other dogs. In general anyway, because I have friends who have one and it never abbreviates, is this the exception that confirms the rule?
I also think that as for children, it's a matter of education, if he lives in a family that moves with children he will be less aggressive and expressive than if he lives recluse with a little mamy in an apartment. Apparently, it's a dog who is very attached to his master. He is faithful and loves to play with children. He is also very intelligent.
His diet
Most chihuahuas have funny habits, they can eat for a few days and then fast the following days. He needs calcium during his growth, so you have to give him dairy products of course. Otherwise, he eats kibbles about twice a day and drinks fresh water. He must remove his bowl between meals otherwise he will eat even if he is not hungry. Attention with dog candy, it tends to grow easily, which is obviously not good for his health, especially since he is not a fan of doing a lot of physical activities, it eliminates with difficulty his overweight. He still needs to go out for a walk at least once a day, with his little coat when it's cold.

The Chihuahuas "toy" or "t-cup" can cost up to 2.000 euros. If they are bigger and bigger, they can cost less, about 1,000 euros.
