A Dog is more than Man's Best friend...!!
If you're thinking about getting a puppy, you'd better do your homework first. You'll need to think about:
- Why type of dog?
- Why are you getting a dog?
- Where will you get it (pet store, friend, shelter...?)
- How much time and attention you can give to a pet?
- How will the puppy affect the routines of you and other family members?
- Whose will it be? (Often when the kids move out , they leave "their" dog for their parents to look after.
Puppies Grow Up & Up & Older Too.
- Your house or apartment needs to be big enough to house the dog as an adult as well.
- Keep in mind that some breeds will grow to be quite large.
- Remember that having a dog is a long term-commitment.
- Depending on the breed, you can expect to have your "Puppy" for the next 10-15 years.
Dogs are good for:
"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face"
My dog helps me to have more self-esteem and feel less lonely. The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.
