So many people looking at adopting a dog ask for breeds like golden retrievers and labradors because they say they want a dog that's guaranteed to be good with children. But you know what, a dog is a dog, it has a heart that beats inside a furry-coated skin and there's no rule that says a mixed breed can't be as wonderful and loving as any other.
When I took Skye from the government kennels (pound) she was already a young adult, but so beautiful and with a huge heart. She was adopted quite quickly and given the name Bella, and now she has welcomed a baby sister into her life, a little person she will love and take care of until for ever.
