With these dogs, pulling is all they want. I've seldom seen such excitement released in one direction with dogs. Having a half-dozen or more excited dogs isn't too strange, most of us are lucky enough to have enjoyed that.
But 8 superdogs, quivering with excitement, tearing off in the same direction, pulling the same load. It's impressive to see.
It's easy to see how they outperform horses in these conditions. Dogs attack any terrain with skill and strength. They can be crappy at diving, and they are nearly useless in flight, but they never give up, and if they can get 2 paws on it, it's THEIRS.
Of course, I may have been influenced by the audiobook I have been enjoying, as mentioned in my other post
