On August 25, 2017, I made this account. I started with nothing. I had no idea how to write. I had never written a blog or story. I had never written a poem. I had never made a piece of art. I had never made a video or edited a video. I had never been on the radio.
Yesterday, I became a Dolphin on Hive.
I have made 1,072 posts. I have left 13,282 comments. I have written seven blog posts in a row twenty-six times. I have posted every day for a month three times.
I taught myself to write. A three-hundred-word post would take me about two hours to finish. I wanted to give up many times. The people I met along the way encouraged me. Surprisingly, I fit in with most people I met on the blockchain. I started to form long-lasting friendships with people I met in my and their comment sections of our respective posts.
I slowly started to write out the stories in my head—the stories I had been making up for as long as I can remember. I received honest feedback on tales I had never shared with anyone. To my surprise, everyone seemed to like my stories.

I followed my heart when writing. One day when writing, a poemything happened. I knew it did not follow the rules of an actual poem. I also knew I liked my writing and did not want to change it. I posted it. No one kicked me off the blockchain.

Open Mic Week 100: Original Music — Clouds Take on New Meaning by
Clouds take on new meaning... by Snook
I joined The Alliance Family (), run by @Enginewitty. There I learned so much about blockchains, cryptocurrency, and bots. I will never forget the pounding headaches bot talk gave me! I decided then and there to make believe Bots were not on the blockchain.
My friend @Simgirl had always wanted to be on the radio. She did not have a computer or internet strong enough to be able to run all the software. She tricked me asked me if I would do the radio show with her. 'Sim your life' was born. We had a great time doing the radio show!
@SimgirlandSnook also ran a Bad Karaoke contest that was a ton of fun!
From there, I made a podcast interviewing other blockchain people. I had a ball coming up with crazy questions to ask. It was so much fun getting to know other blockchain people. Having a laugh with someone you just knew from the comments was a blast!
I was lucky to fly to Colorado three years ago and meet many @TheAlliance members. It was a wonderful long weekend filled with so much laughter and love. It felt like coming home. There were no awkward introductions. There was a lot of hugging and laughing.
Through it all, I try and write a post each day. I never made much on my posts. I was okay with that. I just kept moving forward, learning anything that made me happy.
You see, I found a place I could be my authentic self. I found a place where being just who I am was excepted. I found a safe place to grow and learn anything I wanted to. I had found my home.
If you ever think you can not. I am here as living proof that you can! It is a ton of hard work but worth it in the end. The best part is...
I did it by being myself and a tiny glob of love.
Help someone smile today. It can not hurt you.
