Honestly, am not really much of a writer, because most times I really don't know how to put words together to make out something meaningful (in my head its well structured but when I put it down, that's another story).
Enough complaining onto "Day 1: Dolphin School Bootcamp". Thank's to and
, (you guys need to be inducted into the steemit Hall of Fame). I remember writing my first 'real'' article on steemit on An Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies and getting 11 upvotes and $4.65, not bad at all. The thought behind it was, why not write STEM posts, am an Engineer it's something i do often, why not share my knowledge and learn also from the community. One other thing is that am passionate about Sustainability (I want to use my Steemit earning to do my LEED AP and FMP certifications, Amen!!) and i share about that to from a Facility Engineer's perspective , all without using too many technical jargons to bore people but in simple clear language anyone can understand.
Guys!! Check out
posts on Sustainability for Kids, totally amaizing, if a kid can understand, you can also.
Well, from my long description above you can see where my ideal follower lies, i have done my search and here they are below:
- Livesustainably
Thanks to, as I found the #livesustainably tag through him, it's realively new but
is doing an awesome job in curation and arranging contests.
- SteemSTEM
For all things 'sciency', got interestred in this because of how articulate and well written's articles were, detailed and thourougly researched and i had knowledge i can share as an Engineer, why not write steemSTEM articles.
- Steemiteducation
I haven't really got into that side of writing, am seeing how well to start, for that am doing a side project where we are seeing how vertical gardens can be intergrated into an urban setting,as a case study there is an elementary school doing it and we want to document that and use it as a case where people don't yet believe in urban farming, and i would want a post on how kids are embracing farming to be my firts #steemiteducation post
My Road so far on steemit...
Like everyone else i joined because of the money, i needed rent, insurance money and i saw steemit as a get rich quick things, just post and earn, BOOM!!, 148 days later am still waiting for that day. But i have learnt afew things so far:
- Quality Vs Quantity
It pays to build a quality following, honestly am not the person to post please follow me in a comment, i try as much as possible to engage, over 90% of my posts are comments to other people's posts and i truly enjoy that back and forth conversation, for one you get to learn of other people's experiences, it also improves one's writing skills.
It's better to have 100 quality followers whom you frequently engage in (with afew whales in there too) than 1000 of followers whom at times you feel they are just spamming your feed with spam.
I can't say how greatful i am to the #steemitke community or the support, upvotes and comments. We are a small community but slowly together we are growing and coming up. Thank you ,

Be patient
Rome wasn't built in a day, and so is your reputation and earnings. As a minnow, we all started with earning cents (still earning) and it's the cumulative cents that make dollars. Like above work on building quality vs quantity followersResearch, Research, Research
You want people to come back to your posts, research on what you are writing, and one thing i do is i write a list of questions i maybe asked and in the posts try to answer them indirectly. Thank youfor showing us upvoter, it's a great tool and i have come to see people who upvote my posts on a frequent basis and am not following them (already did).
One of the greatest tools/articles that has helped me is's Steem Guide January 2018, awesome tool for newbies and experienced steemians.
How you can help me...
Go through my blog, tell me comment, critique what i need to do or not do for me to be a better writer and most importantly let's engage.
My bandwidth keeps letting me down most times, but i will try to engage when i have a positive bandwidth.
For today's assignment i have found three steemians ,
,
, lets start engaging!!
