Thanks for sharing this story. Every time I read this kind of story, I strongly feel we should hurry up making a mechanism to get the money to go straight to these kids. The current international aid system is not optimized to make micro-donation work to the favor for the recipient. The aid organization's administrative cost would be too high to deal with micro-donation, say $10. But I'm hopeful because this is another area Blockchain could bring in a solution.
