It has been a few days since I posted a blog, I have been really sick but the good news is that my VP is up and today (and I am feeling better!) so I can get busy visiting some blogs. I missed so many amazing posts from this community!
First off, gratitious chick pics cos...cutest ever!!
No heavy lifting for one week....so. Just really me puttering around being low key. This blog is a combo #doyougrow and #walkwithme around my house I guess. If you've read this far, thank you! 😂
Around here it is still slow days in the grow room starting seeds and waiting for germination. This makes for boring #doyougrow posts until things start growing but since today there are more signs of life among the seedling trays I thought I would do an update!
Boring
Checking on the newest seed starts, I have to remember that these are the slow growers. Things like beans and peas are almost instant gratification because they germinate so fast!
Yay!! Signs of life in half the trays! This is baby White Sage
Baby Mastic Thyme
One German Thyme. Hello!!
One of the eggplants....I might have already messed up on some labeling😕
Hot Paper Lantern Pepper I transplanted just for fun. So far so good!
My Mary Jane clones however, are exploding with roots!! These girls are happy and healthy!
CBD Dream Mary Jane Clones. Tops are healthy and green
I am getting roots on these clones in 4-6 days! So impressed with our homemade mini hydro bucket. If anyone is interested, I could do a tutorial on how to make one. It can clone almost everything and you can grow lots of different veggies in it.
Week old clone roots
My second round of clones. 2 days in.
4 days! Oh, hi baby roots!!
The rhubarb is looking fantastic!! There was a huge difference in germination time between the Himalayan and the Rhapontic Rhubarb.
Rhapontic Rhubarb
The germination success rate was actually the same but as you can see, the Himalayan is taking her time to grow.
Oh! I also found a sprouting sweet potato tuber in my stash. It is early to start them but it has clearly started on it's own so I planted it. I should get lots of cuttings from this!
Plant whole sweet potato with vines up, burying half way up the tuber.
Dampen the soil and place in light! Grow baby grow!
I think that is all that is new. Wait...the ginger! It is growing slow but the sprouts are starting to get green.
That is all for this #doyougrow. Except maybe one or two more chick pics.....😉
Thank you for reading! Take care of you and yours ❤
