Curation Rewards - Various Proposed Policies - Fixed Poll
Which of the following options for curation rewards are preferable to the status quo? Select the options that are better than no change.
The status quo is 75% of post rewards going to authors, 25% going to curators, with a superlinear distribution of curation rewards (in other words, you get more for voting on posts that other people vote for later).
Here are the proposed changes:
A. 50/50 reward split between authors and curators. This is being proposed by and several others.
B. Curation reward slider on post creation. Author decides the split of author and curation rewards on their post.
C. Flat curation rewards. When you upvote a post, you get a portion of that vote as a reward. Curators do not earn by predicting others, but there is no opportunity cost in curation rewards for upvoting something that already has votes. Described by here
D. Flat curation rewards + curation reward slider per vote. Also described here by . The voter can decide how much of their vote goes to the author, and how much goes to themselves on payout.
E. Flat curation rewards with slider on post creation. A combination of options B and C
