Drawing is fucking hard! - Practicing Drawing for Suesa's Contest

FUCK! Drawing is hard! I don't remember drawing being this hard. I haven't seriously drawn much of anything for years. So I thought I would try quite a few test drawings of Hive account@suesa before I tried to do a serious entry for her contest. Problem is that I completely forgot how fucking hard drawing is.

I also completely forgot where all my drawing supplies are...

Hive account@suesa, in addition to being quite beautiful, has these really soft features. Almost every feature she has is very soft, perhaps with a bit of hard outer edges. This makes her incredibly hard to draw, in addition to my extreme lack of recent activity in drawing.

I guess it's not so bad for a first attempt after years...but I can't help but think how much I suck at drawing after so many years.

I had so much trouble with the spacing and transferring her soft features onto the paper. I'm kinda disappointed in myself.

But I haven't drawn in years...and I've been doing a lot of stuff over those years. I've learned languages and studied science in programming so much further. But I don't sit down and just draw anymore. I don't know that I necessarily had that same pleasure in drawing as some other people do though. It's just something to do.

So I guess I have a lot more practice to do, so Hive account@suesa doesn't look quite as much like a clay doppleganger in my drawing, and more like her. Then I can start working on something that's unique and cool that might be deserving of winning her contest possibly.

I hope you had a happy birthday Hive account@suesa I doubt I will be able to make anything worthy of you in a few days practice, but maybe I can make something that might make you smile. Although after this first attempt, my emoness doubts it.
