I drew this for a follower who won an art giveaway. I constructed this mostly from imagination. The requesting party gave me various references that I mentally compiled and used to create this head shot. As with most of my illustrations, I begin by laying down a loose sketch. I then flat color under it. Shade the flats roughly, merge the layers and start rendering the final image.
