Tracing shitty drawing - the workflow

When your buddy sends you a picture (made with potato) of his kid's drawing and ask you to colorize it, you have two options:

1. Lose your friend
   or
2. Make a tedious effort to make it happen with Photoshop and Adobe Animate. And hope that this bottle of Jack Daniels your buddy was speaking of will be at least 1 liter.
