Small pencil drawing I made in 2014 titled "Last Call...". At that time I did a lot of drawings on a5 paper size. The reason was that I could make an artwork and finish it before it took too long finish it. I think drawing this size took me a couple of weeks. I kind of keep on going adding details and fixing things people would never notice but it feels I need to. I love to do big projects but they drain my energy at the last 10% of getting it finished. And that 10% could take weeks (or months).....So after a big project I always think never again until a couple of months passes and I can't wait to start something crazy :)
I'm not really sure what inspired me but I think that the fact that an owner of a small pub decided to stop running his pub and wanted to do something else. It was a place where everyone could be him- or herself and a place for free thinking and all kind of bands playing ( I even played with my band when I was younger ).
But then again that inspiration could be a small fraction of the whole drawing. Thoughts and emotions really drive me while drawing automatically and the things I see in the lines inspire me to work them out into creatures or other things. So for me it's also a mystery most of the time ;)
Thank you for reading and watching!
