Hello, Steemians! Hope everyone has had an enjoyable Christmas. Today I would like to show you my drawing of a girl. She was originally intended to be Emma Stone, but I couldn't figure out how to draw it to resemble more like her:
This is the outline sketch of her face and hair. It was done with a mechanical pencil with a 0.5mm lead. I drew the outlines of her eyes, locks of hair, nose, mouth and even the shadows.
once I've finished drawing the outlines, I started to shade the face with 2B for lighter tones, then a 4b pencil for the darker ones.
Then i did the hair. I found it was important to shade from left to right if you're right handed so you won't dirty up the drawing with the back of your palm.
This is the final outcome of the drawing. To even out and blend the shades i used a watercolor brush, though any thick brush will do, really. This also works if you're looking the reduce the visible lines from shading.
Hope you liked it! And I always accept tips and constructive criticism (as well as resteems lel).
Oh, and have a Happy New Year!
