Hello Steemians!
I'm here. I'm back. I apologize for my absence but I had some really stupid few days and I didn't want to vent here.
Last few days I was busy with various things but mostly lets just say that I had a failed job interview. Even though I knew and replied correctly to all the questions I was asked. And even though I was calm, polite and extremely motivated and professional. Even though I would be excellent at that position and I really did only my absolute 100%, I got a reply: "We need to sleep on this, to think a bit more about it. We'll go through some of the options and will get back to you by the end of the week. We'll get to you by Monday."
It's Monday, 6 pm (at the time of me typing this). It's dark outside and I got no reply from them. What can I say? Nothing. I'm slowly beginning to stop caring.
Anyways. Enough of bad things and negativity! Lets look forward to happy things! We have just few days more than a full month till Christmas and holidays. :)
In all that festive spirit I've decided to create some postcards which I'll try selling (mostly here if there are people interested to get them). I have few early prototypes which I made today. I'll have more by the end of this week. Plan is to get 10-15 of them and draw the best ones on postcard paper by hand. Totally old school!
Here they are:
I was trying out the old pieces of scrap paper I got as a present and general idea of how to make it stand out more. I was playing with various things.
Here is another version, and after more playing I've even learned a trick or two. I have a similar one in my mind which I will do as a request for a good friend of mine.
Here is a prototype/brainstorm paper (or two) and something little I playing with yesterday when I got the idea to do this little project. I'm also considering using water colors - just for that project - but it scares me a bit. I've never worked with them before. But such magical things can be done with them. Why does it have to be so difficult? :)
This is the paper I got for postcards. There is 12 sheets of 300g/m2. I already got few requests to do - some pretty unique stuff which leaves me with at least 9 or maybe even 10 available. I'll draw and finish all 12 of them.
Should I use colored pencils or water colors? Or combination of both? I really have no idea. I'll see when I get to it. First thing I intend to do is make few more sketches like I did today to get into spirit of things. Wish me luck! :)
