Just had a dream that may or may not carry a lot of significance on my life and maybe many others.
I was walking around the compound doing whatever, and out of nowhere all these bulldog ants or safari ants came streaming all over the walkways, and started to climb up into the houses. As I walked, they also climbed up my legs, forcing me to stop every once in a while to brush them off.
I needed to get to the main house to get some powdered insecticide or repellent for controlling their movement. In the process, I got some ants inside the house which attracted others, which put me in an awkward position with my relations as they started accusing me of bringing them ants into the house.
Taking into consideration the significance of dreams in some of our cultural backgrounds, I thought I could make an attempt at interpreting what i dreamt.
A good example of an interpretation is that of the popular story of the Pharaoh in the Bible who dreamt of seven healthy stalks of corn being consumed by seven emaciated ones, which turned out to signify seven years of great harvest followed by seven years of famine.
The appearance of Safari ants in our locale is very common, especially in rainy seasons, which forces us to be vigilant and act quickly when we see them around our storehouses, livestock quarters and houses. They also come with their advantages because they control the population of other irritating creatures like dangerous burrowing spiders and slugs which come out in droves when it rains and are not in any way pleasant surprises under the feet.
My take on what the dream means is this: There may be unsettling times ahead, and it may bring tension among people familiar with each other. Circumstances may come that may overwhelm our resources, so it would be a good idea to plan ahead to cushion the impact of whatever causes these situations to come about.
Some of the things that happen are beyond ourselves, like natural disasters and the like. Keep insurance cover payments up to date.
Other than that, it could just be another dream like many others, only that I haven't forgotten this one.
