I think there is plenty of evidence that we have reached a sort of event horizon, point of no return, in public awareness of the harm of the war on drugs. The public also seems to be doubtful of the claimed harm of schedule I substances. From this point forward, I think we can expect further deregulation. Though the corporate, cartel, and government interests are clearly in opposition to decriminalization or deregulation, it is already baked in the cake. We can expect continued resistance to decriminalization. However, this resistance to the will of the governed will be very short lived. We're are just years or perhaps months away from the de facto end of the war on drugs.
