Both Adderall and Modafinil are very popular prescription drugs that are used for very different reasons when prescribed by a doctor. Adderall is prescribed to people with ADHD to help with the lack of focus caused by the condition, while modafinil is prescribed for Narcolepsy which is a sleep disorder that causes people to be drowsy trhoughout the day. When used in a recreational way though, both are used (wrongly) as "smart drugs" to help with cognition and getting repetitie tasks done.
