I have recorded sound effects and uploaded them to a site called Freesound.org, and now I've decided to upload some of them here to DSound as well. Since it's my first upload, I chose a short file mostly to test how things go. The first file I'm bringing here is this one:
I recorded this during a trip to Ilha Grande, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in November 2011, at a beach in front of the inn I stayed at. There are the sounds of the sea waves, and of sand falling after being thrown around by the waves. You may also hear birds singing, as well as people talking in the background occasionally. This was recorded with a Zoom H4n portable recorder.
This file is also available at Freesound.org, a site where users upload their free sound effects, and release them either in a Creative Commons license or to the public domain. You may access it from there if you have any problem listening or downloading it from here.

I released this file under the Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you may use it for whatever you want (even for commercial purposes) as long as you give credit. Just writing something like "beach_short01.flac by Aiyumi," or "Beach sound effects by Aiyumi" and a link to either the Freesound page or this DSound page is fine.
Thank you for listening!
