First, thanks so much for your contribution and for listening to the proposal! This is exactly the sort of feedback we need to work out all the fine-details.
Being more on the minarchy / anarchy side I have the heretic question of: Why do we need government at all?
Well it depends on how you define government; I look at it as nothing more than majority-decided rules to protect and preserve as much equality as is possible and lay down foundational guidelines such as do not kill, do not steal, etc. To have a true anarchy, society would have to be evolved and highly educated. We may be able to have that in the future but first we have to evolve and educate the citizens, would you agree?
I am not that impressed by utopian-io . They moderators come across as quite conceited and you are only payed if the one and only moderator checking your work likes your work and if not he or she will reject your work out of hand.
Thank you for informing me about utopian.io, I may have to revise that part of the proposal if it is indeed only ran by one central moderator. Is this true ? Is moderation centralized? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the STEEM blockchain philosophy that everything should be decentralized and voted on by group consensus? We may have to find a truly decentralized crowdfunding platform, but I am sure one already exists or is in the making
I agree with you that with , concentration of power will be ones of the main challenges, but this is why we will be using smart media tokens to create an equal-weight system not based in STEEM currency where all votes are equal in regards to polling and measuring public opinion.
Perhaps the website for polling will handle the crowdfunding as well? That significantly complexifies the project though.
24:00 And here is where it will fail: No current government will accept an declaration of independence. And not just your own government but all the governments will fight it — unless they think the newly formed state.
Don't be too quick to assume failure before it's even tried haha, belief is a powerful tool and only with the belief that we can succeed can we succeed. Remember that the first nations to adopt this will be desperate to do so due to oppression, or in a position where the government is willing to try something new to help escape poverty. Let's not think about how this applies to large nations just yet. It will scale up to that.
As far as laziness goes, I think the real problem is ignorance. People think it's not possible because they don't realize how powerful and real this technology is. They need a spokesman, they need a proven demonstration that it works. That is what we will create together (if we so choose.)
Again, thanks so much for sharing your comments, and especially, your critiquing. It is very important that people criticize and critique this project so we can work out all the loose ends and ensure the project moves in the most logical, secure and powerful direction possible.
