This oddball song is sung by the down-trodden Seymour. In a moment when his life feels like it's about ready to leap forward to new bounds, it suddenly takes two steps backwards. Haunted by the possibility of defeat, he is willing to give up his own blood to prove that he will do anything to change his situation. The demonic pact in this song is oddly reminiscent of the echoing beats and the rising notes of each chord in the scales.
