Spending quite some time to create al alternative African song at the request of a friend, I realized that I Simply wasn't getting it right.
While scrapping it all, a particular tune kept playing in my head, that tune, is the piano track on the first verse. Its was quite interesting, so I started out by isolating it, next came some drums, I decided to go for some vintage drum sounds, ones where the kick wasn't particularly heavy, since I wanted my bass to hold the floor on this track.
I then added some acoustic guitars to make it shine a bit, and finally at the chorus, I whipped out the lead guitar.
It started feeling funky to me, so I played the guitar reggae style, but without the drumming pattern, all in all, I think this track came out well, and its a track I am willing to give away for free.
If you like it, leave a comment, if you do not, leave a comment stating why, I am open to criticism, and the truth is, the more issues I have and clear right away, the closer I get to perfection and that production spot light.
So if you notice the volume is low, the mixing is bad or you cant hear a particular element, or maybe even the song is boring, or the arrangement is out of whack, please state so.
In the mean time, I remain destiny, showbiz entrepreneur, music producer, community person, if you need any help and you're from Africa, beep me up!
