It is a pleasure for me to reference today's song: Yamaray. In this opportunity we will listen to the original version in rhythm of merengue that was recorded by Hernán Marín in the decade of the 70s. The music of this song was adapted by Hernán Marín himself and the lyrics are by Jesús González. This song has been covered by other artists and among them there is a relatively recent version recorded by the Venezuelan Serenata Guayanesa. This merengue became part of the Venezuelan musical repertoire of the east of the country thanks to the work of Hernán Marín who to date remains in force giving the best of artistic performance. This author sings is considered The King of the Chorus and, in addition he is a researcher of our traditional-popular music. Last year, Hernán Marín was declared a Living Cultural Heritage.

Yamaray
Furruco why do not you plot
Why do not we plot Furruco
Because the one who is plotting
He has his body maluco (bis)
He leaves and does not come back Zuray
Who keeps the piquirinos
I do not know Uruguay (bis)
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good.
I do not ride in Airplane
Because I can fall
But for a woman
I take the sky with my hands (bis)
He leaves and does not come back Zuray
Who keeps the piquirinos
I do not know Uruguay (bis)
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good.
That pink nightgown
That you put my life
If it were my death
The least thought day (bis)
He leaves and does not come back Zuray
Who keeps the piquirinos
I do not know Uruguay (bis)
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good
Ta 'good Yamaray
It's good.
