Prepare Your Ear Holes!
We got some heat for you. My dude and I have a creative collective we call #cablebox in which we intend to release our collaborative art through. Last weekend we decided to get together and jam out a new song. He laid down the structure for the beat, and I came with the guitar riff shortly after. He decided the song fit perfectly with some lyrics he already had ready to go, and I think they sound really good on this track! After we got done recording at my house, I decided to add in a little 808 bass kick for some extra punchiness, as well as a tasteful lead guitar part for the hooks.
We kept it pretty simple and clean. Elimence is one of the best lyricists I know, and I'm really excited to get in some more work with him. He has some tongue twisters in this one, and he executes all syllables amazingly. Just listen to that content! I especially like how this song focuses so much on current events, with lyrics like:
"Everybody's kissin under missiles"
or
"Bombs over bedrock, we livin like Flinstones."
The word play of Elimence is so on point! Between all the clever puns, and double entendres, there's a lot to love about his lyrical style. These two lines especially reflect all the tension a lot of people are feeling right now. Sometimes one can feel quite hopeless, especially concerning the war machine. The people tend to get stuck fighting wars they don't believe in. Art is such a great release, and allows us to get emotions out that can bottle up.
We hope you guys enjoy this tune! We would love to hear what you think so drop a comment below. I am splitting the rewards of this post with so don't forget to show some love if you dig it! Peace and love Steemfam
