Oh man...
So this is one of last productions in my vault to be posted in dSound. (At least until I get back to the studio life).
And as with the last few, it's one I've kept locked up because it's been "incomplete" (lacking a vocalist).
As an instrumental, sure, it's dope.
But it really needed a sick MC on it for justice to be done.
Regardless...
Having good music sit locked away where no one can here it kinda defeats the entire purpose of making it. If it's imperfect... fuck it.
If I get inspired relistening to it, there's surely someone else out there who may also dig it - even if it is "only" a beat and not a full-scale commercialized hit.
So...

I kinda wish I remember how I did the drums on this, as they're siiiiiiiick.
(Not even sure if I still have the original project files, or could open them).
The last few years during producing, I'd been playing around with alot of trance-ish synth lead sounds, fusing them into more hip hop club type stuff. This was an interesting experiment in that fusion, with those synth stabs over those crunchy drums.
But damn, those drums through those verses.
Phat. Crunchy.
Those reverse claps.
The kick fills.
The chorus part... meh. The piano... meh. The break... meh.
But holy shit.
I really oughta dig up the project files and see if I can salvage that drum kit...
a snapshot from one of my DJ gigs, those years in Bali around the time I produced this.
Whether anything shall ever come more from the track, or it was merely a stepping stone... time shall tell.
Though at the least, a few people will have heard it - and hopefully be even a fraction of as stoked as I've been through it's production and listening back these years later.
May your listening experience - preferably optimized with quality headphones and/or stereo - be one of enjoyment and upliftment...
