Nearing the end of my remix shares, this is one from a remix context done way back in spring of 2013...
Listening back to old works is always interesting. On one hand with this one, I'm discontent with the mix - knowing I could do alot better by now to tighten up the drums and get the phone thing phatter to hit even harder. On the other, it still amazes me what a great job was done, considering it was only my third real production.
(The original production was done by producer Rob Fusari, though I can't recall who the singer was and can't seem to find it on the net).
The vibe: again, not sure how to categorize. It's almost got that heavier dubstep-ish tone, perhaps at half-speed. On the darker side, sure. Semi-chill, though deep in emotion and symphonically powerful like a multi-dimensional soundtrack to times of a Mongolian empire set forth a few thousand years into the future... or some shit. Ha ha!

Sadly, this one also has some darker memory associations with it...
The first time I played this track for anyone, it was with a few friends in Bali - one of whom killed himself maybe a year later. I didn't know the guy that well, but nonetheless - it throws a weird twist into the listening experience everytime I revisit this track.
Anyways...
Have yourself a listen and enjoy!
