Thursday afternoon in Sequoia National Forest, communing with the old giant trees. The air is thin, forces one to make slow short deliberate steps. The thought echoes from eternity; to go out to the First Temples. Sit at the feet of our elders, listen to the silence wisdom. Let go and go! Drop everything and go! Bare open your skin and go! Open your heart, expand your awareness. Go to the beauty of life that is free and open to everyone. Go and just be there in it, as a part of it.
Be a part of natural delights, the joyful immersion in the wild of it all.
Fly with the birds, listen to the thunder of the falls and the rivers,
roll with the mountains, float on wings of butterflies, gaze in fear & wonder of the bear.
Breathe life deeply, fully and live!
To Gain a Perfect View
up the mountains, thin air
no steps to follow, far to reach
the extreme verge, getting safely away
the last incline down, the stream
steep and smooth, forward in hands and feet
rushing water, mist cools face
sun heats neck
to gain a perfect view
one must be still, listening
to the timeless songs
the roaring water,
the birds chirping,
the tossing of branches,
swirling of butterflies
the trees are silent now
but their songs never cease
sunrays peak down from above
a glorious display of wilderness
at close range, is impressive
cut off from all the world below
to gain a perfect view
one must be still, listening
to the timeless songs
Stop the silly chatter of the mind, retune your awareness, use your intuition on Nature's way, feel your deeper sense of belonging. Every hidden cell is throbbing with music and life, every fiber is dancing to the heartstrings of the wind, while the incense is ever flowing from the pines and wildflowers. The First Temples were the mountains, hills, and grooves. Where man sat in wonder, got taught the lessons of life and found nourishment.
