Hi everyone!
Today we started our exploration of Reunion Island, and what a beautiful place it is!
No wonder the French were keen to settle here. This island, containing an active volcano is packed with greenery and 100's of waterfalls, and you can see just some in the pictures and the short video uploaded today.
You Pisse where?!
La Pisse en l'air, which literally means 'The piss in the air' (See, the French do have a sense of humour!) is around 20 kilometers inland from the north-east coast and we had the fortune to drive through it twice today.
Most waterfalls aren't within touching distance, but this one is like a high-speed car-wash - you just drive straight through! The observant may spot the rainbow shining through a small waterfall to the left just before impact - sweet!
As today's theme is water, here are a couple more photos of the amazing scenery, including a couple of us 'getting in the way' :)
Eyes on the road driver!
Yes, but just look at the scenery!
Shall we stop by the river?
Waterfalls everywhere!
Look out for a blog by later today with more on this beautiful Island which we are so lucky to be staying on.
I hope you enjoy the video!
