Hey guys, this is a Koala we got called out to at the local pizza shop. He'd gotten himself stuck in the little back section near the car park and was too scared to move past all the people and cars.
Koalas are generally very calm animals and spend most of their day sleeping, they can however give you a nasty bite and scratch if you get too close or they feel threatened. They have large claws and strong forearms for climbing and holding themselves up so if they manage to dig in they can do some damage.
This guy was a little angry when we first arrived but I managed to get him into the corner and slip the bag out of him nice and quick without much stress or injury.
We bundled him up and took him down to the local gorge to release him where he promptly ran up into a tree.
Please ignore my voice in this video I didn't realise I was putting on such a stupid voice but it tends to happen when I talk to the animals. Don't ask why.
