Business is business, but hell, good content is primarily not aimed at good rewards, but at consumption by the target audience! Everyone is on about rewards (me too, in a sense, I must admit!), but aren't we losing sight of the ultimate objective, namely a community benefitting by sharing valuable knowledge and insights, so elevating quality of life?
We have to eat yes, and survival is particularly difficult for authors coming with nothing but a wealth of valuable experience and wisdom to share, knowledge sometimes gained under difficult circumstances - so at least a minimum income is important for the sake of keeping such contributors productive, but I can bet my bottom dollar that getting their messages across is often more important than alleviating their own circumstances.
Wouldn't a scheme directly generating rewards for getting authors more avid followers make sense in this regard?
