I feel much better now and my fever ceased down considerably already. It is good that I took some fever medicine which is an analgesic too and it aided my pains which is associated to that fever.
I do hate it when I catch chills from my dialysis and I had a lot of bouts like that already and more intense too and the cause was always the factor of cleanliness. Here in my country the dialysis standards is different than the west because we reuse the dialyzer here for a month, yes for a month, so they just have to put preservatives to the dialyzer after cleaning it so that it can last awhile.
It is more practical to do that reuse technique, it saves the patient money but would risk themselves with infections.
I do not know the cause of my relatively slight chills today at but it is for certain that I was exposed to bacteria maybe I have a dirty dialyzer or the bacteria colonized the dialyzer while I am hooked-up at my session and caused me to have nasty chills.
Now I just have to prevent it next time by taking some medicine prior. And of course it won't solve that but I have to make my dialyzer last for a month before changing it because it is very expensive so it just have to really be reused until the end of the month.
It is not good to catch chills because it really drains down my energy, you get weird pain in your body like my right thumb is still aching until now, and you get restless as well and fortunately my chills began near termination time otherwise I will just shake and bake with fever.
Plus having a fever is never cool so I am just trying to cool my body even further with this wet handkerchief that I am applying to my body for a few hours now. It helps to soothe me now while listening to my favorite music tracks. Thank God I survived this day.
