I experienced this a lot back in the days, especially when I spent time in the boarding house during my secondary days. The truth is more than half the time I received punishment like this. I actually did nothing to deserve it. There was always an overzealous teacher or senior student who wanted to emphasize authority in a crude way. Unfortunately I still have some scars to remember these gory experiences.
