I just watch this YouTube video, posted by , which is an excellent, honest discussion of both the strengths and weaknesses of DTube. Jerry posted this video on September 5, 2017, over 9 months ago. At that time Jerry mentioned that DTube was about a month old. DTube sounded like a worthy alternative to YouTube. Jerry describes some of kinks that need to be ironed out in terms of the user experience.
I am still a minnow, having joined the Steemit community one month ago. My questions are: well, it's close to a year since DTube was launched. Has DTube lived up to its promise?
Ten months is a long time in our Steemit world. Seems like another century, the manic phase of what appears to be yet another manic-depressive cycle. So, nearly a year after the DTube launch, I'd like to know if DTube has lived up to its promise.
According to the video, even though there would be fewer people watching, I should get more revenue per viewer than on YouTube. Is that still true, especially given the recent demonetization of many YouTube accounts. What do you think?
