For the longest time now, I have been trying to reduce the use of plastic. I would rather that than to recycle. But it isn't easy.
At home, I am slowly winning over the rest. Out and about, I already have a recycle bag in my handbag all the time incase I need to whip it out.
But even then, there are times it is just unavoidable. Some stuff come already pre-packed. Then there are others, that are loose and tricky to not ask for a bag. The wet stuff, like fish and poultry, even if they are sold by weight, you can't just chuck them loose into your bag!
Today, I set my mind to it, and went to the morning market. Even though I went prepared, it was a little tedious, so it was a good thing I was buying just a few things.
Now that I have gone through one day, rather successfully, I am hoping to make it into a habit. Mind you, I even bought prawns.
Since most countries don't really recycle plastic because it is too costly, maybe the best way is not to use them to begin with. Or at least, minimise the need for it.
How do you manage your plastic? Especially the single use ones? I know many people, even in the family who really don't care... So, is there something to care about or not?
Hey, thank you for dropping in and hanging out. Truly appreciated.
Cheers,
