Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well!
There's a lot of action on our blockchain! Of course, I imagine (and hope) that there's a lot more creators, content consumers and businesses to come... but as a community, we need to decide what is acceptable and what isn't:
- Is it okay for a business to reward their customers with the shared reward pool?
- How much of the shared reward pool is it okay for businesses to use to upvote their customers?
- Is it okay for a business to upvote themselves with the shared reward pool?
- Is it okay for a business to offer perks to people who upvote them?
- How much of the blockchain transactions are we happy for businesses to use?
I think it's important for us, as a community to think about what is acceptable behaviour for businesses. It wouldn't be hard for a single company to invest big in Steem and take it over... or for it to become a battleground between competing companies.
We can always hardfork the blockchain if that happens, but that could invalidate all the time we've invested. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for watching!
