Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well!
Tonight should be our last night in a hotel... hopefully we're moving back home tomorrow. We have no kitchen at all; no sink, no benches or cabinets and no floor... but at least the big loud fans should be gone.
Training this week has taught me a lot about my own training habits... as well as my grit and my drive. Running on a treadmill is more convenient, and for me, very squarely in the 'better than nothing' camp.
That convenience comes at a price though, and that's because just like you can run whenever you want, you can also stop whenever you want. Running out on the road or tracks is not like that. You can only finish when you get to your destination.. and walking takes so much longer than running, so you might as well run the whole way. On a treadmill, everything wants you to stop, only your grit and drive keep you going, on the road, you can't stop.
For me... road running is a vastly better past time... and it really improves the conditioning of your body. Treadmills are good for your heart, but not much else.
Thanks for watching!
