[EP144] - Rodents are totally invading our house...

Hope you're all well!

My partner is really struggling, and to be honest it's all starting to give me the heebee jeebees too. It's been 4 months, and we've been okay without a kitchen... mice have been a problem since the first day, and I felt like we got a handle on it. We made sure to eliminate all their potential food sources.

I went away for a couple of weeks, came back and things were still okay, and then in the last couple of weeks we've just found mice everywhere, and it's really getting us down. They're in the walls and ceiling, waking us up in the middle of the night, they've scared my partner when she's working late at night. It's all getting a bit much.

A pest control guy came, and said there wasn't really anything he could do that we weren't already doing... so that was a bit rough to hear. We were both hoping he'd rock up and magically fix everything.

He reckons that not only do we have mice in the house, but we might have a shrew running around too. I had to look it up, but it's like a tiny quick mole. Weirdos.

The is light at the end of the tunnel though, kitchen construction starts next week (I think) and after a few weeks they'll be installing a new floor that should plug up all the holes. It's not going to solve the mice in the walls and ceiling though, we basically have to wait until they move out... but hopefully we can reduce the late night scarings.
