Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well!
I'm sure it's a surprise to zero people that getting a visa to work and live in a country that you weren't born in is stressful. My visa is tied to my job... and so getting a new job comes with not just the normal challenges.
Changing my visa from one employer to another means that I actually have to leave the country, visit the US Embassy, wait 4 or 5 days to get your newly-stamped passport back, then enter the US under your new visa. We've done this a few times now, and something always goes wrong.
Last time I had to get my visa renewed, Hurricane Mary cancelled all my flights. The time before that my employer had submitted the wrong job title, and I had to stay in Canada for an extra 10 days.
Hopefully it'll all go okay, but I'm pretty bummed to have to fly 15 hours to get to Barbados instead of 50 minutes to get to Canada.. but y'know, first world problems.
Anyway, I'm excited to share all of my new tropical adventures with you!
Thanks for watching!
